My first motorcycle trip for 2019 will again be our annual ride to Death Valley, CA

Ken is arriving at our planned meeting point after already riding 150 miles or so from the Tucson area.

Hmmm, I guess he wants to lead!

Another 35 miles and we meet up with Ed from Green Valley, AZ, but who spent the night in Wickenburg, AZ.

Some of the scenery as we are about to access the new Interstate 11 as we cross into Nevada.

South of Beatty, NV are these dunes being worked on by Mother Nature

While Mother Nature was blowing sand off the top of the dunes, she was simultaneously trying to blow us off of the highway!

The colorful hills as we approach Beatty from the south.

Wild donkeys/mules left over from the mining days are abundant in both AZ and NV.

Jim, aka Wheels rode his Goldwing all the way out from Florida hoping to see his cousin Rocky who was a no show.

After already riding 500 miles today, Ken decided to check out Lida Pass so we could plan tomorrows ride.

Probably a good thing since there was a lot of sand on the road from when the snow first fell. It's not too fun if you are wanting to be riding motorcycles in a spirited manner.

Not to mention the fact the area was already showing signs of pollution.

Still it was fun just checking it out.

I almost burned through a whole tank of fuel checking out the pass, so I decided to also top off my back up batteries.

The Tesla owner didn't blink an eye!
